HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - After isolated showers and storms clear out this evening, much of the night will be quiet with mainly clear skies. Out west, there will be some clouds that move in. Late in the night and into early tomorrow, there maybe some showers and isolated thunderstorms over Southwest and West Central Nebraska. These will push east southeast over Southern Nebraska and Northern Kansas through the morning. Skies will then clear out in the afternoon. Highs will be back up into the 80s to near 90° Friday afternoon. Some isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible over Western Nebraska late Friday afternoon and into the evening. As they move into Central Nebraska, they will weaken and diminish, with clearing skies coming after midnight. There may be some areas of fog early Saturday.
NSP Launches Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign
(Lincoln, NEB.) — The Nebraska State Patrol launched an enforcement campaign to close-out the summer travel season. The campaign will run from August 14 through September 2. “In the coming weeks, events like the State Fair, Husker Football, and Labor Day Weekend will have many traveling across the state,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “We want Nebraska to close out the summer safely.”
