Employee error leads to higher utility bills for Collierville
COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. - An employee error in May and June is leading to higher utility bills for Collierville residents in July, according to the Town of Collierville. The town said that they recently discovered an issue with their utility meter readings. Back in May, a new employee responsible for reading meters did not perform the readings or they recorded inaccurate data, Collierville said. The town said that employee received further training but was let go after the problems continued through June.

“In Kentucky and Tennessee, we’ve been fortunate to have some cost-share dollars that have been going into a genetic improvement program that each of the states has done independently,” said Dr. Darrh Bullock,University of Kentucky extension professor, Lexington.
