Area transient with string of alleged thefts strikes again
An area transient that has been arrested numerous times in the last month on various charges has been taken into custody again after an alleged theft of alcohol. According to police, 41-year-old Porscha Curry was inside the CVS Pharmacy on Muscatine Avenue Monday morning and stole an item worth approximately $50. She returned Monday night and took several bottles of alcohol from the shelf. Curry reportedly made no effort to conceal her actions, and walked toward the exit without paying for any of the items.
KMAQ sold to Iowa-based Coloff Media
For the first time in 66 years, KMAQ will be under different ownership. Jim Coloff of Coloff Media has purchased the Maquoketa-based station from Dennis Voy and announced plans to continue operating the station.
