VIDEO: Tacoma Police make arrest in 45-car theft ring investigation
TACOMA, Wash. - Another teen has been arrested as Tacoma Police continue their investigation into a vehicle theft ring in the area. In addition to the arrest of the person police believe to be the leader of the ring back on May 30, 2024, officers report 45 stolen cars can be traced back to the following five people arrested:
STEM and Journalism camp draws more than 125 middle schoolers to MTHS
During the 2024 summer break from Aug. 20-22, Mountlake Terrace High School held its first journalism camp for aspiring young journalists. The Junior J-Camp, as it was called, was run in conjunction with the Edmonds School District’s annual STEM Camp – a highly successful mainstay each summer at Terrace. Overall, more than 125 sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students from throughout the area attended the camps.

In an intriguing blend of education and agriculture, Tacoma's Stadium High School has put a team of goats to work on its campus as part of an eco-friendly effort to manage its overgrown vegetation. A swarm of approximately 50 named goats, including Vincent van Goat and Snowflake, has been brought in by Tacoma Public Schools and are currently clearing brush and weeds with an efficiency that machines can't match, as reported by FOX13 Seattle, these goats are not just furry workers but, they're seen as a novelty by locals who often stop to take pictures and interact with the animals from a distance.
