POINT PLEASANT — The Point Pleasant Boro Rotary Club 34rd annual Car Show, showcasing over 200 antique and classic cars, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Crystal Point.

Antique cars and trucks, modified cars and trucks, foreign, custom, street rods and replicars will fill the lot at Crystal Point Yacht Club, 3900 River Road.

Food trucks will also fill the lot for residents to come and enjoy the evening full of antique cars. For attendees, this event is free and open to the public.

Crystal Point Yacht Club has a limited number of spaces and all spaces will be used. Pre-registered cars should arrive before 4:45 p.m. to be assigned a space. Once spots run out of spaces, display cars will not be able to park in the main lot. Each car can use only one space.

Oversized cars must pay for two or more spaces. All cars must display the windshield plaque or the car will be removed from the show. All cars must have an engine compartment open to be judged for a trophy. No for-sale signs allowed or the car will not be judged.

Judging of cars begins at 6 p.m. The Rotary Club advises participants to have their car ready for the judges at that time. Cars newer than 2014 can be displayed at the show, with the purchase of a spot and will not be judged.

Trophies will be presented at 8:30 p.m. in front of the stage at the show. Trophies will be given to the winning cars as determined by judges that night.

Bernadette Antonelli, president elect of the Rotary, told The Ocean Star, “The club has been doing this for 34 years and in that time, it has become one of the events most looked forward to by the community. It has become so popular that we have had to limit the number of car spaces. We are at capacity.”

Car owners can register before the show by sending in the downloadable registration form at ptbororotary.com/carshow. The cost of registering a car before the show is $20 and $25 for the night of the show. For more information, please email: johncurtis599@gmail.com
