Cass County, Minn. (Valley News Live) - Two people have been arrested following a traffic stop in rural Pine River. According to the Cass County Sheriff’s office, deputies made the traffic stop as it was related to an investigation into the use, sale, and trafficking of illegal controlled substances.

State Patrol IDs Two Minnesota Men Killed in Separate Crashes
(KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol has released the names of two people killed in separate traffic incidents Tuesday night. One of the victims was a 19-year-old man from the Grand Rapids area. The State Patrol says Carter Haithcock of Goodland was fatally injured around 11:20 PM on Tuesday when he was struck by an SUV while he was walking in the traffic lane on Highway 169 in Nashwauk. The Grand Rapids woman driving the SUV was not hurt.
