UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WHTM) – The Penn State All-Sports Museum will be unveiling a LEGO Beaver Stadium structure later this month.

The model consists of 7,647 individual LEGOs and was built by artist Garrett Gourley – founder of Back 2 Brick and a 2015 Penn State Industrial Engineering graduate.

It took almost 100 hours to build and was made possible by a donor’s $2,500 gift to the museum, which is located in the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium.

The new model will be unveiled on July 27 at 10:15 a.m. and will be on permanent display in the museum lobby.

Visitors will also be able to see the recently completed Nittany Lion logo mosaic sponsored during the Central PA Festival of the Arts. During the event families, Penn State student-athletes, and museum staff placed 9,476 LEGOs over four days to complete the 30-inch square mosaic.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  Admission is by a suggested donation of $8 for adults and $5 for children, seniors, and students.
