Centre Volunteers in Medicine has launched a fundraising campaign to support and expand its Behavioral Health Program at a time when the need for mental health services is more pronounced than ever.

CVIM is Centre County's only permanent free clinic providing medical care, dental care, case management and medication assistance to those in need. Recognizing the growing demand for mental health services, the organization has developed a comprehensive Behavioral Health Program incorporated into primary care that offers counseling, psychiatric services and support groups for individuals facing mental health challenges.

“Our community’s mental health needs are significant and continue to grow. With this campaign, we aim to enhance our Behavioral Health Program to ensure everyone who needs help can access it without barriers,” Cheryl White, CVIM executive director, said. “We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and our goal is to provide comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of well-being.”

Contributions of any size to the Behavioral Health Campaign are welcome and will significantly impact the lives of those struggling with mental health issues, according to CVIM.

“We are calling on our community to support this important initiative. Your donations will help us provide essential mental health services to those who need them most, ensuring a healthier and more resilient community,” White said.
