The annual unofficial kickoff event to the season concludes today with the third and final group of teams. Wednesday’s top talking point as it relates to head coach James Franklin’s team was his response to where the Lions are entering his 11th season, which is the first with an expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.
“You’re talking about a program that you can win 10 or 11 games and people are not happy or satisfied,” Franklin said. “We totally get that and embrace that. Our players understand that when we recruit them, our staff understands that when we hire them and, as the head coach, I embrace all of those things as well. “We’ve got to play our best when our best is needed most.
