Mount Nittany Health to host hunter safety event to honor late manager

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Mount Nittany Health is hosting a hunter safety day event in honor of an NRP who passed away earlier this year.

The event is dedicated to promoting responsible and safe hunting practices within the community and is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will honor former Mount Nittany Health EMS Manager Rich Kelly.

Community members can attend for free with the event featuring a range of activities aimed at ensuring safe hunting trips. Representatives from Mount Nittany Health Emergency Medical Services and Professional and Organization Development will teach techniques and share other resources with attendees.

Mount Nittany also invites community groups to join them in promoting safety. Those interested will have:

• Free booth space: Set up an informational booth to connect with attendees and share information about your organization.
• Educational session or demonstration space: If you would like to present a short session or demonstration related to hunting safety, wildlife conservation, or outdoor activities, we will provide you with a dedicated space.
• High foot traffic: This event is expected to draw a significant number of attendees interested in learning more about responsible hunting practices
