Penn State hosted the first of two major recruiting events Friday, welcoming just under 50 prospects to campus yesterday for day one of the Lasch Bash Barbecue. Imhotep Charter edge rusher and Ohio State commit Zahir Mathis was one of a few notable additions late on Friday. 2026 edge rusher and West Virginia commit Daiveon Taylor was also added.
But there were also a few players expected who didn’t attend, including four-star prospects like edge rusher Wydeek Collier , cornerback Jakob Weatherspoon and running back David Davis .
