    Ice Cream Fest returns to downtown State College this weekend

    STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — The ninth annual Ice Cream Fest, hosted by the State College Downtown Rotary Club, is back this Saturday.

    From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the 200 block of S. Allen Street, sweet treats will be available to kick off the month of August. Tickets are $5 for five or $20 for 25.

    There will be ice cream from Weis, GIANT, Vale Wood Farms, Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Richie’s, Meyer Dairy, ColdStone Creamery, Sunset Slush and Nittany Valley Creamery.

    Adaptive equipment presented to 9 Central Pennsylvania kids with disabilities

    Activities will also be spread out across the day with face painting, balloon twisting, and yard games to name a few. Discovery Space will also have liquid nitrogen ice cream brownies available.

    At 1 p.m., the State High, Bald Eagle, Bellefonte and Penns Valley football teams will compete in a Dilly Bar eating contest to see who can eat the most.
