Hoopeston police arrest two for alleged meth possession
HOOPESTON — Hoopeston police arrested two men on Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine. Officers arrested Anthony J. Chandler, 42, around 1 a.m. near West Maple Street and South First Avenue after learning he had an active warrant from Vermilion County for failure to appear in court for possession of meth. He was taken to the Danville Public Safety Building to await arraignment.

Vermilion County EMA (Emergency Management Agency) Director Russell Rudd stated that the county’s storm damage was “limited to power lines and a few trees down. Nothing major.”

Couple Behind Hope Center Continuing to Seek their Next Mission
It was at the end of May that the Hope Center’s Nathan and Lauren Lenstra ceased operations in what they had been providing for families in the Fair Oaks Area. Their ministry dated back to 2007.
