Susan Steinbruegge Williams, 75, of Olin, N.C., passed away on July 14, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Williams, and their beloved son, Robb. Susan’s parents, Frank and Kathy Steinbruegge, and her sister Joanna Bragg, are also deceased.

Monte Boice Peterson
Monte Boice Peterson, 93, of Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Peterson was born Oct. 1, 1930 in Jefferson County, Idaho to Thor Navy and Margaret Edna Boice Peterson. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Korean era, and was formerly vice president with Wells Fargo Bank. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he was the Young Men’s President, Ward Financial Clerk and Stake Clerk. Monte enjoyed golfing. Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Melaney Peterson and Lezlie Allison; and brothers, Dennis, Cornell, Keith and Garth Peterson.
