"Just sad, 'cause my son goes to school right here, too, my daughter goes to school here, and it's just sad. I don't even go out no more," one mother said. Investigators say someone discharged a gun twice toward that group, one bullet striking the victim in the head. That 13-year-old is now fighting for his life at the hospital, listed in critical condition because of this senseless act of violence that so many wish would end. "We're just praying that he pulls through. That's it at this point, being there for the family and praying that he pulls through, and everything else, you know, is in God's hands, at this point," Penn said.
