The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is seeking the public's help to identify who is responsible for the unlawful waste of a bull elk in Clackamas County.

On Wednesday, state troopers received information about a decapitated bull elk.

"No meat was taken and the animal was left to waste," a news release said.

The bull was located on Port Blakely Timber property outside of the Colton and Molalla area. Access points of the property include South Young Road, South Tiffany Lane and South Grey’s Hill Road.

The incident likely occurred between Monday and Wednesday afternoon, according to Oregon State Police.

Anyone with information should contact Turn in Poachers and report info to Trooper Ben Turner. TIP can be reached at 1-800-452-7888 or via email at TIP@osp.oregon.gov .

Individuals can remain anonymous and be awarded a cash prize if tip leads to an arrest or issuance of a citation.
