IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Several smoke shops in Statesville were found to be selling marijuana while also selling store items to school-aged children following a month-long investigation, the Iredell Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday.

Warrants were executed at seven smoke and vape shops in Statesville on Friday, July 10, following a month-long investigation.

Over the course of the investigation, it was revealed those shops were selling products to school-aged children and selling illegal THC limits that are set by state law.

Undercover agents were successfully able to buy THC with up to five times the legal limit, according to the sheriff’s office.
