STAUNTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held today for a new subdivision in Clay County. It’s part of Thrive West Central’s “Homes for the Future” program.

Clay Court features ten homes and is located in Staunton, Indiana. These homes come with city utilities and are geographically close to all Clay Community Schools.

Officials said the homes are ideal for anyone wanting to live in a rural area. Developing partner Austin Staley said he hopes these new homes help the area grow.

“I think we want our school system and tax base to continue to grow for outside entities to continue to want to come here to help our own community create money and funding to help it prosper,” Staley said.

Staley said the plan is for all ten of these homes to be finished by next fall.
