Menominee County Fair starts Thursday

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Fair will take place Thursday through Sunday at the fairgrounds at Shakey Lakes Park, west of Stephenson.

The fairgrounds will be buzzing with activities, entertainment, and attractions for all ages, according to fair manager Debbie Smith. “We are thrilled to bring the community together for this year’s Menominee County Fair,” she said in a press release. “It’s a tradition that celebrates our local heritage and provides fun for everyone.”

• Location: Menominee County Fairgrounds- Shakey Lakes Park, N8390 County Park Road, Stephenson, MI 49887

Highlights:

• Live Entertainment includes the bands The Bad Mother Truckers, Neon Detour and the Next Mile.

• Games: Fun-seekers can experience face painting, bounce houses from Jumpin’ Good Times, and the Kids Demo Derby on Thursday. Also, the Phoenix Mobile Arcade and KB Magic’s Escape Room.

• Exhibitions: Livestock shows and craft exhibits in the barn all weekend.

• Special Events: Kayak Glow Paddle, a Craft Beer & Wine Tasting Event, and meet Ed the Diver and Logger Mack.

• Sponsors: Stephenson Marketing Co-Op, Don Machalk & Son’s Fence Corp, Deno Forest Products, CoBank, Cozzy’s Polaris & Green Pharm.

• Weekend Pass $10 and kids under age 5 are free
