Portland Little League team wins state tournament, heads to regional competition
WINDHAM, Maine (WGME) -- The Portland 12U Little League team has officially won the state title with a score of 1-0 in Windham on Friday. This victory marks the first time since 2007 that a Portland team has won the Little League tournament, and only the sixth time since 1957.

CARIBOU, Maine (WAGM) - From a racetrack to a Movie theater Folks at Spud Speedway have found a unique way to give back to the community. For the first time, there will be two drive-in movie nights at Spud Speedway. Tonight and Saturday, folks will be able to watch movies on a 20-foot wide by 12-foot-tall LED screen at the track. All they have to do is get their free ticket at one of the Big Cheese Pizza or Freshies locations.
South Portland's Riverdale Grade School Playground Closed After 4,000-Gallon Sewage Spill
South Portland residents faced a less-than-pleasant surprise on Thursday when city crews rushed to Riverdale Grade School following reports of raw sewage leaking onto the playground. The playground area, now closed for cleanup, was the site of a substantial sewage spill, estimated at 4,000 gallons. The unwelcome release was contained within an hour, and work is underway to return the area to its former state, according to a release from the Environmental Services.
