Steubenville, OHIO (WTRF) – Two local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families are teaming up to bring people together.

The Sycamore Youth Center and Aim Women’s Center will be hosting a Summer Block Party in Steubenville on July 24th.

The event will feature delicious food, as well as activities for all ages. There will be live hip hop artists, face painting, a mime performance and much more.

Both organizations wanted to host this party to bring the community together and build strong connections.

“We’re very excited because we’re trying to bring together families and children to just have a great time and fellowship with one another, and hang out and eat some food. People from different walks of live will have the opportunity to meet one another that might not normally have a meal together.”

Bobbyjon Bauman – Director of the Sycamore Youth Center

“Our organization Aim works with the babies and the mothers, and how Sycamore Center works with kids and the teens, and we thought it was just very complimentary to come together and put on this celebration for all ages and the families.”

Rebekah Cohen Morris – Executive Director at Aim Women’s Center

The Summer Block Party is on Wednesday, July 24th from 5pm to 7 at 248 N 5th Street in Steubenville.
