    Denver Weather: High fire danger and temperatures near 80 Tuesday

    (DENVER, Colo.) Tuesday in Denver will be warmer than Monday, with sunny and breezy conditions expected throughout the day.

    The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts the high-temperature Tuesday will reach near 79. Expect southwestern winds at 6 to 16 mph. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

    Red Flag Warnings are in effect from noon to 8 p.m. for areas including Boulder and Jefferson Counties, the Front Range Foothills, Cheyenne Ridge and Palmer Divide.

    Tuesday evening in Denver will be breezy and cold, with a low temperature of around 44.

    Anticipate west to southwestern winds at 8 to 16 mph becoming north after midnight. Wind gusts may reach as high as 23 mph.

    Looking Ahead: Sunny and warm temperatures return Wednesday

    Wednesday in the Mile High City will be sunny and warm once again.

    The weather service predicts the high temperature to reach near 73 Tuesday. Expect southeastern winds at 7 to 11mph becoming northwestern in the afternoon.

    Wind may gust as high as 18 mph.

    The skies over Denver Wednesday evening will be partly cloudy. The low temperature will drop to around 44.

    Northwestern winds at 6 to 13 mph will become southeastern in the evening. Expect winds to gust as high as 20 mph.
