District Court Judge Jeffrey K. Holmes ruled on Thursday Douglas County records custodian has to permit Kyle Clark to investigate the withdrawn CORA request for names of teachers who requested sick leave on Feb. 3
NewsBreak Denver's Suzie Glassman reports the court found Kyle Clark asked for the document propr to the person withdrawing his or her request. The ruling states that DCSD already released everything, however, the name of the requestor had been withdrawn.
The ruling states, “There is no authority of which this court is aware that permits a requester to remove a CORA request from its status as a public record by simply asking that it be withdrawn.”
Colorado has ranked as the 10th-smartest state in the country, according to a study by online typing tutor Typing.com.
The study looked at data including the percentage of people 25 years and older with a bachelor's degree, people who hold a professional degree, 2019 public high school graduation rate, 2020-21 SAT and ACT scores and estimated IQ levels per state, according to NewsBreak Denver's Margaret Jackson.
Colorado recorded an average IQ score of 101.6 ranking it among the top 10, with 26% of Colorado adults with bachelor's degrees and 15.6% holding professional degrees.
The GOALS program, the Generational Opportunities to Achieve Long-term Success program, is working to achieve two-generational economic security for families experiencing homelessness.
The program is a four- to a nine-month structured residential program for families needing skills and resources to achieve economic self-sufficiency, NewsBreak Denver's Natasha Lovato reported. The program moved into its current facility on the Oxford Vista campus in Aurora in 2020 in the northern area of Douglas County.
The facility holds up to 20 families and provides services including individualized case management, employment services, early childhood education, support for academic achievement, mental and physical health services, social network development, parenting, and family function education.
The Blair-Caldwell LIbrary will host a renovated reading room.(City and County of Denver)
Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, located in Denver's Five Points neighborhood, will close for a $2.6 million makeover.
The library will close on May 28 for renovations, with a new teen area and art by Sam McNeils of Superior Ironworks+ planned. Other updates to meet customer needs:
A reimagined children's area
New first-floor staff workroom
New front book drop and relocation of the circulation desk.
NewsBreak Denver's David Heitz reports that customers can also expect refreshed bathrooms and an increased surveillance system. The 35,000-square-foot library opened in 2003.

The DC 4 continues to break the law every chance they get. Spending taxpayers money for student on their lawsuits. Would love to hear a story at end of year on how much $$$ they have spent fighting the various lawsuits as they continue to break the law.
