    Denver Weather: Chance of showers, thunderstorms Monday with temps in high-80s

    (DENVER, Colo.) Monday's weather forecast calls for warmer temperatures and a chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in Denver later this afternoon.

    The National Weather Service in Boulder predicts the storm will hit Denver between noon and 3 p.m., followed by a chance of showers after 3 p.m. 

    The skies are set to be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 86.

    Expect light and variable winds to become northwest at 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Gusts may reach as high as 18 mph. 

    There is a 20% chance of perception Monday.

    Denver's skies Monday evening will be mostly cloudy as the low-temperature drops to around 54. Anticipate south to southwest winds at 6 to 10 mph. 

    Winds could gust as high as 16 mph.

    Looking Ahead: More showers and thunderstorms possible Tuesday, warm temperatures persist

    Tuesday will see another chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m.

    The weather service predicts mostly sunny conditions Tuesday, with a high near 84. Breezy conditions will continue, with south to southwest winds at 5 to 15 mph set to become north to northeast in the afternoon.

    Gusts may reach as high as 18 mph.

    The weather service predicts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday evening. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature of around 54.

    Expect north to northeast winds at 10 to 15 mph to become light and variable. Winds might gust as high as 21 mph.
