MILWAUKEE — Chef Dan Jacobs has been busy since earning a top-three spot on season 21 of “Top Chef,” which featured many locations across Wisconsin. Sunday fire leads to hours-long Hwy. 51 shutdown
A portion of southbound Hwy. 51 was closed to traffic for five hours on Sunday while crews battled a blaze that started in a storage garage in Arbor Vitae. The blaze was reported at about 6:40 p.m. at 111107 Kern Lane. The four-bay storage garage was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, with several small explosions. Several vehicles near the garage were also on fire, officials said.

Suspect in Double Fatal Marinette Crash Appears in Court
MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The suspect in a double-fatal traffic crash made an initial court appearance Monday. Scott Mathis, 46, faces two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. A $2,500 signature bond was set. He returns to court July 31 for a preliminary hearing an arraignment, court records show.
First Alert Weather: Storms continue on Tuesday, but not as widespread
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Storms will continue to pass through during the morning commute. No severe weather is expected, but a few downpours will be possible. Best chance for rain Tuesday morning will be if you live either south of Highway 29 or east of I-39. Rainfall will mostly cease later in the morning hours before more storms flare up during the afternoon. Odds are, the afternoon storms will flare up around or east of I-39. Just like Monday, these storms are not expected to be severe, but they could feature some downpours and strong wind gusts. Rain chances get lower the further northwest you live of Wausau. With storms being more isolated, rainfall should be lighter for most of us on Tuesday. There is no guarantee you will stay fully dry though.
