STEVENSVILLE — July 6 proved an historic day in the Historic Stevensville Arts & Entertainment District. Despite the “excessive heat warning” of 103 degrees, the Pet Parade and Festival with videotaped jokes carried on! For QAC-TV, Mike Francis and wife Bonnie videotaped people telling their favorite pet jokes. The event is held annually. This year the event was carried out in collaboration with the Kent Island Heritage Society, in which Jack Broderick, John Conley, and Carol Mylander gave tours of the Historic Cray House, Old Stevensville Post Office, and Old Stevensville Bank. Nancy Cook gave tours of Historic Christ Church.
