Man arrested after traffic stop leads to discovery of credit card skimming equipment in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police arrested a New York man last weekend following a traffic stop. Just after 9 p.m. Sunday, an officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Eastern Shore Drive and East Carroll Street, making contact with the driver, identified as Ion Nantu of Glendale, New York. Police say a probable cause search of the vehicle led to the discovery of several items consistent with the installation and maintenance of credit/debit card skimmers, used to fraudulently obtain credit and bank information from community members.
Body of missing waterman recovered in Somerset Co.
SOMERSET CO., Md. – Maryland Natural Resources Police say they have recovered the body of a missing waterman near Deal Island. The man has been identified as 58-year-old Ted Briddelle of Princess Anne. Maryland NRP officers recovered Briddelle’s body at around 4 p.m. Thursday near the shoreline of a private residence just over two miles from his last known location.
