Biden awards $50 million to support EV manufacturing in 6 states
(CBS DETROIT) — The Biden administration announced that $50 million will be awarded to six states with significant automotive communities to help convert manufacturing facilities to support the electric vehicle supply chain. The funding is made possible through the administration's Investing in America plan. It builds on the $1.7 billion awarded to 11 "shuttered or at risk" facilities in several states to bolster electric vehicle production. Michigan is one of the recipients and will get $18,406,420.45.
