Interest Meeting

STEWART — The Athens County Commissioners, along with community leaders of the Stewart/Guysville area, will hold a public meeting to discuss the possibility of providing sanitary sewer to the area based on a study the commissioners completed and interest from residents in the area. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Federal Valley Resource Center, 8225 State Route 329, Stewart.

Playground Open

ALBANY — The inclusive playground at Alexander Elementary School is now open to the public.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening will be at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 15 to thank everyone and celebrate the inclusive space.

The spinning ZoomTwist and inclusive swing seat are still waiting for more parts to arrive in the mail. Organizers said these pieces of equipment won’t be ready until the grand opening.

Cannabis Festival

POMEROY — The Stargazer Cannabis Festival will be held July 26-28 in the Wisteria Event Center, 39825 State Route 684, Pomeroy.
