Rochester Police Seek Assistance in Locating Predatory Offender
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating a predatory offender. An alert issued by the Police Department Tuesday afternoon indicates a state agent contacted local authorities and informed them that 41-year-old Carvell Williams had tampered with his electronic monitoring device on Sunday. He has since failed to return to his placement location.
Another No-Show For Sentencing Results in Arrest Warrant
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant was issued today for a man who failed to show up in Olmsted County Court for his sentencing hearing. Court records show 42-year-old Jesus Rodriguez was scheduled for sentencing on Monday in the case where he was accused of pointing a gun at another man and threatening to kill him at a local convenience store last summer. He was arrested last July after a man told Rochester police that he was refueling his vehicle when he was approached by a man he did not know who was yelling in both Spanish and English before the man went back to his vehicle and returned with a handgun.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A report of someone wearing a mask and carrying an AK-47 leads to an arrest Sunday night. The Rochester Police Department says an officer was approached by a citizen around 11:29 pm Sunday. The citizen said they had been driving through Tom Kadlec Kia in the 4400 block of Highway 52 and saw a masked man carrying an AK-47. Officers began an investigation and got an update from dispatch about a man wearing camouflage and carrying a rifle.

The drugged driving arrests are fueling a large increase in arrests for impaired driving throughout the county through the first nearly six months of 2024.
Motorcycle Crash Shutdown Highway 63 North of Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A section of Highway 63 north of Rochester was closed to traffic Saturday evening while emergency personnel responded to a motorcycle crash. Preliminary reports indicate the highway was shut down around 6:30 PM to allow the Mayo One helicopter to land and transport the crash victim to the hospital. The reports indicated the area affected was between the roundabout at 75th Street Northeast and Highway 247.

Multi-vehicle crashes injured four Sunday in SE Minnesota
KIMT-TV 3 NEWS – Several multi-vehicle accidents Sunday in southeast Minnesota injured a total of four people. The first happened around 3:59 pm on Interstate 35 in Rice County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup pulling a camper, two SUVs, and a car were all southbound in a two-lane construction zone near mile marker 55 when they crashed.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension did not name the agency involved, nor did it release information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
