The Miami Dolphins host 42-sack free agent Emmanuel Ogbah but the Baltimore Ravens may be favorites this upcoming season for him. According to a report, the Dolphins are looking to find a replacement at the edge rushing position where they’re bringing in Ogbah for a visit this week in light of Shaquil Barrett‘s retirement. He may be the best available pass rusher for a team that needs to excel at the stop-gap option for the Dolphins. Miami doesn’t have any other options on hand since Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb and Cameron Goode have all been on the PUP list since last week.

Suspect arrested in fatal stabbing of state worker in West Baltimore
WBFF (Baltimore, MD) — Police have arrested a man who is suspected of stabbing to death a state contract worker in West Baltimore. The fatal stabbing of Devin Butler happened in the 2400 block of West Lafayette Avenue on July 5. He had celebrated his 33rd birthday on June 27—just eight days before he was killed.

Sabrie Pierce Murder: Tyjohn Walker-Jones Charged
Tyjohn Walker-Jones, 16, is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder and related offenses, said authorities in a release last Wednesday, July 17. He's accused of shooting 17-year-old Pierce at the Wallingford Estates Apartments, 2701 Madison Street, according to investigators. Abdullah Muslim, 17, is also charged in connection with the deadly shooting.
Robert Moody Named Music Director of Baltimore Chamber Orchestra
The Baltimore Chamber Orchestra (BCO) has named Robert Moody as music director, beginning a three-year contract in the 2024-25 season. He will be only the third music director in the orchestra’s 40-year history. Moody is currently in his eighteenth season as music director for Arizona Musicfest and his ninth season as music director of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. In 2022 he was named principal conductor for Lakeland Opera (FL). Prior positions have included music director of the Portland Symphony (ME) and the Winston-Salem Symphony (NC). Earlier in his career, he held conducting positions with the Phoenix Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Santa Fe Opera, Brevard Music Center, Interschool Orchestras of New York City, and apprenticed at Landestheater Opera in Linz, Austria. Some of his 2024-25 season debuts include the Kansas City Symphony, Tulsa Opera with Renée Fleming, the Tampere Philharmonic in Finland, and Timisoara Philharmonic in Rumania. Moody has led orchestras and opera companies including the Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony, Dallas and Houston symphonies, Minnesota Orchestra, Washington National Opera, the Aachen and Baden Baden orchestras in Germany, Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogotá (Colombia), and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra (Austria). A South Carolina native, Moody holds degrees from Furman University and the Eastman School of Music.

On March 13, 2024, Annapolis Police Department (APD) officers and UFCW Local 400 members met with Tricia Hopkins, Annapolis Human Resource Manager, and Mike Malinoff, Annapolis City Manager, to discuss concerns about waste and mismanagement within the department. Due to the serious nature of the issues raised, Mr. Malinoff arranged a follow-up meeting with Mayor Gavin Buckley on May 3, 2024, where UFCW Local 400 members shared their concerns directly with the mayor.
