Local indie rock band Charlie's Poolhouse debuts new single *projectors*
Statesboro’s own indie rock prodigies, Charlie’s Poolhouse, released their new single *projectors* July 20 on all major platforms. Lead guitarist Ethan Cave says *projectors* showcases a new direction the band is taking their sound. “We are taking more of a Hi-fi, pop music production route, rather than a more 'rough around the edges' DIY production style,” says Ethan. The shift in style is largely influenced by the addition of drummer and producer Jacob Takevski. The band will put their new sound on full display in their upcoming EP currently in production, which will hopefully come out later this year. The release of *projectors* comes almost a year-to-date after the release of the band’s 6-track debut EP, *pollen*. With the current lineup of Cave (Lead Guitar/Vox), Gilbert Sheppard (Lead Vox/Guitar), Jacob Talevski (Drums), and Mary Parker (Vox/Bass), Charlie’s Poolhouse have become fixtures of the region’s growing DIY indie-rock scene. “We’re playing as many shows as we can, whether it be at a house or a coffee shop,” says Ethan. *projectors* is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other major platforms.
