Addie Schinka was honored as the Most Valuable Athlete for the Stillwater girls golf team.

The eighth-grader contributed to a balanced lineup for the Ponies, who placed second in the Suburban East Conference Tournament and totaled 77 points to tie Forest Lake for fourth place in the final conference standings behind East Ridge (118), Mounds View (94) and White Bear Lake (93).

Stillwater also finished third behind Mahtomedi and White Bear Lake in the Section 4AAA tournament.

Addie Schinka placed eighth in the section tournament, finishing outside of the playoff for an individual state berth by just one shot.

Freshman Nora Roberts and sophomore Sam Schinka each earned all-conference honors for the Ponies while Addie Schinka, Vyan Abdullah and Kylie Voight received honorable mention all-conference recognition. Abdullah and Voight, who also served as captains, were the only seniors in Stillwater’s section lineup.

Seniors-to-be Grace Koetz, Michaela La Vaque and Jenna Voight were selected to serve as captains for next year’s team.
