One of 10 Ponies to receive All-Metro East Sub-District honors, Tanner Schmidt received the Most Valuable Athlete award for the Stillwater football team. The senior, who finished with career school records of 1,626 yards and 21 receiving touchdowns, was also named the Metro East Sub-District Offensive Player of the Year while helping the Ponies (5-0 ME, 8-3) to their fourth straight sub-district championship and second consecutive state tournament appearance. Students at Stonebridge Elementary School in Stillwater were treated to a Wild time during a “Faceoff for Fitness” assembly on Friday, Dec. 1.
