Football: Schmidt, Rosewicz to play in All-Star Game
On the heels of its second straight state tournament appearance, the Stillwater football program will be well represented in the Minnesota High School All-Star Game on Saturday, Dec. 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Senior receiver Tanner Schmidt and senior defensive lineman Bryce Rosewicz will play for the North All Stars in the 61st edition of the all-star game and the 50th annual dating back to 1974. The Stillwater Elks Lodge 179 conducted its annual Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater. Cross-country: Stillwater boys place 15th at Heartland
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Stillwater boys cross-country team placed 15th in the Nike Cross Regionals Heartland on Sunday, Nov. 12 at Yankton Trail Park. It was a solid showing for Stillwater after placing eighth in the Class AAA state meet a week earlier. Girls swimming and diving: Ponies claim 22nd straight section title
The challenge was even greater, but the achievement grew by another year as the Stillwater girls swimming and diving team secured its 22nd consecutive Section 4AA championship on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Stillwater Middle School. The addition of East Ridge strengthened the section field, but the Ponies still scored 547 points to outdistance the Raptors (454.5) and third-place Woodbury (346) in this year’s standings.
