    Boys swimming and diving: Stillwater cruises past Raiders

    Stillwater placed first in all 12 events on the way to a 95-83 Suburban East Conference boys swimming and diving victory over Roseville on Thursday, Jan. 25 at Parkview Center School.

    Sam Loken, Wyatt Fredeen and Jackson Kogler were each double-winners for the Ponies, who improved to 5-2 in the SEC (5-2 overall).

    Loken touched the wall first in the 100 (53.34) and 200 (2:01.14) freestyle races while Fredeen prevailed in the 200 individual medley (2:03.82) and 100 backstroke (56.91). Kogler won the 50 freestyle in a time of 23.24 and also claimed the top spot in the 100 breastroke (59.77).

    Stillwater, which swept all three relays, also received first-place finishes from Tate Sorensen in diving (232.25), Zach Cody in the 100 butterfly (1:01.98) and Lincoln Wanderer in the 500 freestyle (5:41.45).

    Fredeen, Paul Hartmann, Cody and Kogler turned in a winning time of 1:48.28 in the 200 medley relay. Kogler also anchored Stillwater’s winning 200 freestyle relay (1:35.95) that also included Cameron Winters, Loken and Jaxon Benson.

    The Ponies closed out the meet with a first-place showing in the 400 freestyle relay (3:34.95) behind Hartmann, Loken, Fredeen and Winters.

    Stillwater was scheduled to host Park on Feb. 1.

    Diving — 1. Tate Sorensen (St) 232.25; 3. Maccon Kubitschek (St) 173.00; 4. Grady Flynn (St) 167.15.

    100 butterfly — 1. Zach Cody (St) 1:01.98; 2. Cameron Winters (St) 1:03.72; 5. Jackson Avery (St) 1:06.25.
