OAK PARK HEIGHTS — The Stillwater girls basketball team jumped out to a big halftime lead and cruised to a 69-30 Suburban East Conference win over Roseville on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Stillwater Area High School.
It was the fifth straight win for the Ponies (12-4 SEC, 17-6), who lost to the Raiders by 11 points earlier this season.
Liana Buckhalton supplied a game-high 24 points for Stillwater, which closes out the regular season with three straight games against state tournament contenders East Ridge (12-4, 16-8), Centennial (14-8) and White Bear Lake (14-2, 18-6).
Amy Thompson finished with 20 points and Annika Peper added 10 for the Ponies.
Roseville (7-8, 12-9) has lost six straight games.

Stillwater 67, Irondale 42
At Oak Park Heights, Annika Peper and Liana Buckhalton combined for 39 points to propel Stillwater to a 67-42 conference victory over Irondale on Friday, Feb. 9 at SAHS. Amy Thompson tossed in 12 points while Franny deLeon and Addison Bergstad added eight points apiece.
Stillwater build a nine-point halftime lead before outscoring the Knights 38-22 in the second half.
Isabella Gibbons paced Irondale (0-15 SEC, 1-22) with 16 points.
