    Ponies commit to college programs

    Stillwater Area High School celebrated the commitments of several student-athletes who have finalized their plans to continue athletic careers in college, with most of the seniors planning to join NCAA Division III programs. Sadie Bettendorf plans to join the women’s bowling team at Lindenwood University (Division I) while Ashley Gorman will continue competing in the sport at William Penn University, an NAIA program. Carter Magistad is heading to California to continue his playing career for the men’s tennis team at Biola University (Division II) while Jack Ralston is slated to join the men’s cycling team at Lees McRae College (Division I). Additional Ponies who have finalized their plans to compete for NCAA Division II programs include: Blaine Batchelor (men’s soccer at St. Olaf), Thomas Cass (men’s track and field at St. John’s), Anna Corbid (softball at St. Benedict), Karley Galowitz (women’s track and field at North Central College), Sophia Hauer (women’s hockey at Concordia-Moorhead), Ashleyn Hoff (women’s hockey at St. Olaf), Kayla Kajer (women’s track and field at Gustavus), Ephram Lanz (baseball at St. Scholatica), Alexa March (women’s hockey at St. Mary’s), Ava Mosley (women’s lacrosse at St. Benedict), Morgan Perkins (women’s tennis at UW-La Crosse), Jack Richter (men’s cross country and track at UW-River Falls), Charley Rowan (baseball at UW-La Crosse), Tyler Schroeder (baseball at Northwestern College in Iowa), Gus Swenson (baseball at St. Scholastica), Lily Timmons (women’s hockey at Gustavus) and Madeleine Williams (women’s hockey at Milwaukee School of Engineering).
