Golf — Stillwater Area High School graduate Kyle Scanlon is among a group of three area players qualifying for the Minnesota Golf Association’s Amateur Championship at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. Jordan Hawkinson of Chisago Lakes Golf Course and Brent Barnacle of Loggers Trail Golf Club are also in the field..

Girls lacrosse — After helping the Ponies to their best-ever finish in four trips to the state tournament, junior Remi Larson is chosen the Most Valuable Athlete for the Stillwater girls lacrosse team. Ashlyn Jelinek, Katie Lottsfeldt, Carter Sanderson, Kate Sheely and Sara Stickler join Larson in receiving all-conference honors for the team, which place third at state to finish with a 15-4 record.
