Sean Snyder is once again on the move.

The former Kansas State punter and assistant coach has agreed to join Mike Gundy’s staff at Oklahoma State, where he will coach both kickers and punters for the Cowboys.

Snyder spent the bulk of his football career playing and coaching for his famous father, Bill Snyder, in Manhattan. But he jumped to the other side of the Sunflower Showdown last season when he agreed to work as a special teams analyst at Kansas under Lance Leipold.

Now he will coach for one of K-State’s other rivals in the Big 12.

“Sean brings years of experience wich kickers and punters and special teams concepts,” Gundy said in a statement. “We’re really excited about what he brings to our coaching staff.”

Prior to his one season in Lawrence, Sean Snyder worked as a special teams coordinator at Illinois. Before that, he held the same title at USC.

Of course, he is best known for what he accomplished while working alongside his father in Manhattan.

Sean Snyder was an All-American punter for the Wildcats before he shifted into a long career as both an administrator and an assistant coach. He held many different titles at K-State, including director of football operations and associate athletic director and special teams coordinator.

K-State will play host to Oklahoma State this season on Sept. 28 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
