FEMA hiring in Maine to help address January storm recovery
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Back-to-back storms in January caused a lot of damage in Maine, including 200 homes that were destroyed or damaged. In March, President Joe Biden approved the state's request for a Major Disaster Declaration to address, what was at that time, an estimated $70 million in damage to public infrastructure from storms on Jan. 10 and 13. Individual Mainers can also receive funds to repair severe property damage.
