Former Alabama golfer Nick Dunlap parred the final hole in the final round of the St. Jude Championship even though he “was a train wreck.”. Dunlap entered the PGA Tour tournament ranked 67th among the 70 qualifiers for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He needed to complete the first event in the three-tourney championship ranked in the top 50 to advance to the second. 148 arrested, 7 victims recovered during Florida human trafficking bust
TAMPA, Fla. — The Hillsborough County sheriff announced more than 100 arrests that led to the recovery of seven victims of human trafficking over the past three months. Dubbed Operation Summer Shield, the county's Human Trafficking Squad arrested 148 people and charged 11 after they were found to be involved in human trafficking of women as young as 16 years old.

Gulf Shores Police Department seeking volunteer dog walkers
GULF SHORES, Ala. (WPMI) — The Gulf Shores Police Department is seeking volunteers to help with walking dogs that are temporarily housed at the station. Recently, the department has seen an uptick in the number of dogs that have been turned in or picked up off the street. Detective Carl Wittstruck says at one point the department had up to seven dogs in its care, which is unprecedented. Due to the recent increase, Wittstruck says the idea for the dog walking program came up.
