You’ve probably never seen a house like this for sale in Harrison County, West Virginia

STONEWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — In a development full of split-levels and other box-shaped homes, a “one of a kind” Southwestern-inspired home definitely stands out.

The current owners of 8168 N Byers Lane built the home in Stonewood’s Catalpa Heights in 2001. They said they wanted “something different,” so when they found a floorplan for a style home that is normally only found on the other side of the U.S., they knew it was perfect.

It has a total of seven curved walls, with a stucco exterior and a rubber roof. It has four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms—with an additional full bathroom in the pool house—on a 0.44-acre lot with a resort-like backyard.

The shape of the home isn’t the only unique thing. Almost every room has a different shape, a different ceiling height and a different tile. The 20-foot entryway has two lion fountains inspired by the current lady of the house’s love of big cats and double doors leading to a sitting room with massive windows, high ceilings and a view of the pool.

And if lion fountains in the entryway isn’t enough, there is another one that is a spigot for the bathtub in the master bathroom. The master bedroom also has French doors leading out to the pool and hot tub.

Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and walkway space that buyers could get creative with that overlooks the entryway and formal living area.

Although some of the home’s most eye-catching décor items, including a sauna in the guest bedroom and a suit of armor in the family room, are not for sale, some of the owners’ luxury touches will remain, including security system and cameras and the handmade, custom banisters. Hate cold floors? Even though the house has tile throughout, it was specially installed to stay warm even in the winter.

The house is listed for $525,000. More information and photos as well as contact information for the realtor are available on the Mountain State Real Estate listing online here .
