Michigan man to serve a decade in prison for selling dangerous drugs in Mon, Taylor Counties
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A former Detroit resident will serve 10 years in federal prison for selling dangerous drugs in Monongalia and Taylor Counties. A jury found Kalen Daevon Lee, 31, of Detroit, Michigan, guilty of using a motel room in Morgantown to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. Court documents said Lee went by the alias of “Tay” and maintained a storage facility in the area as well.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Fairmont State University will receive $6.89 million in federally directed spending to go towards three improvement projects. The offices of United States Senators Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito announced that the university will receive Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) funds to support upgrades to the nursing program facilities, library renovations, and campus security system improvements. Fairmont State Associate Director of Proposal Development Amantha Cole expressed excitement on behalf of the university to have the federal funds directed to support upgrades for multiple aspects of student life.
