Amanda Seyfried visits Upstate NY to support author of mystery set in Adirondacks
Saratoga Springs, N.Y. — Celebrities love a good book — and a trip to an Upstate New York bookstore — just as much as the rest of us bibliophiles. Amanda Seyfried stopped by the Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga Springs last week for author Liz Moore’s book tour. The actor posted a photo on Instagram of her and Moore posing next to a blown-up image of the cover of “The God of the Woods”, Moore’s latest novel, inside the beloved bookstore.

Forty-four days ago, a foot abscess forced L’Imperator out of the entries for a Grade 1 steeplechase at Saratoga Race Course. And, chalking it up to bad luck and bad timing, trainer Arch Kingsley moved on. “I don’t get too happy or unhappy about things, or I try not...

Some of the most highly anticipated races during the summer racing season are the 'baby' races during the boutique meetings at Saratoga and Del Mar and at Ellis Park, which attract its fair share of high-priced offspring from a variety of top national outfits. Summer Breezes highlights debuting 2-year-olds at those meetings that have been sourced at the breeze-up sales earlier in the year, with links to their under-tack previews. The Saratoga Q and A: Dale Romans
Trainer Dale Romans, 57, has been as much a constant at Saratoga Race Course as hand melons and chicken from Hattie's. This is the 32nd straight year that Romans has spent his summer at the Spa. He sat down with Tim Wilkin to talk about life, his disappearing waistline and his questionable choice of an actor to play him in the Dale Romans story.

Just How Good Has Chad Brown Been So Far In Saratoga?
Chad Brown continues to dominate and own Saratoga. It has only been four days but he has already won several races and just always wins the Diana Stakes. The local Mechanicville trainer loves Saratoga and you can see why. His horses are always heavy favorites and bet quite often by the Saratoga Racecourse patrons. Again nothing is better in the summer than being at Saratoga. Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:
