From Jost to Joy and “Encanto” to “Some Enchanted Evening,” the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Connecticut at Storrs has announced its fall slate of concerts, comedy shows and other performances.

Longtime “Saturday Night Live Weekend Update” co-anchor Colin Jost will perform on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. Jost published a memoir, “A Very Punchable Face,” in 2020. Tickets are $38 to $68. The Jorgensen Center said that, due to high demand, the venue is working on adding a second show. Jost’s visit to UConn comes during the school’s family weekend.

The Piano Guys return to the Jorgensen Center on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. The musician’s multimedia shows involve projections and special lighting effects. $65 to $85, or $185 for a VIP package.

Disney Concerts presents “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert” on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. for $30-$35. Banda de la Casita plays the animated film’s score live while it is shown on a big screen. The audience is encouraged to sing along. According to the Jorgensen Center, “live characters do not appear in this event.”

The first Lenard Chamber Music Series classical concert of the fall season features Ukrainian-born violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv playing works by Ukrainian composers with cellist Darrett Adkins and pianist Melvin Chen. The seven composers range from those who were active in the 19th century, such as Mykola Lysenko, to contemporary composers Bohdana Frolyak, Yevhen Stankovych and Catherine Likhuta. Tickets for concert, titled “With Ukraine in Our Hearts,” are $37-$40 for the 7:30 p.m. show on Oct. 8.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra plays on Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. for $37 to $40. The concert includes familiar pieces by Mozart and Vivaldi plus new work by Joseph Tawadros.

The Capitol Fools political comedy troupe performs on Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. for $15 to $50. In an election year, they’ll have plenty of fresh material.

The children’s theater show “Pinkalicious the Musical,” adapted from the children’s book by the Vital Theatre Company, takes place on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. for $25 to $28.

Pianist/vocalist and “Great American Songbook” scholar Michael Feinstein performs his tribute to the late Tony Bennett accompanied by the Carnegie Hall Big Band on Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20-$60.

The second children’s theater show of the season, “My Father’s Dragon,” is Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. for $25 to $28.

“Some Enchanted Evening,” Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. for $15 to $40, joins TikTok sensation Stella Katherine Cole with another vocalist, Benny Benack III (who’s also a trumpeter), for a jazzy set of Broadway showtunes.

The second concert in the Lenard Chamber series features Russian pianist/composer Arsentiy Kharitonov performing works by César Franck, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Robert Schumann and himself on Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $37 to $40.

Less than a week after his own concert, Arsentiy Kharitonov joins the Bennewitz Quartet, which is the ensemble-in-residence for the Czech Philharmonic, for the third concert in the Lenard Chamber Music series on Nov. 22 at 8 p.m. This one is loaded with Czech composers, including Leoš Janáček Dvořák (honoring the 170th anniversary of his death) and Antonín Dvořák (for the 120th anniversary of his death), but also features something by Joseph Haydn, who was Austrian. Tickets are $37-$40.

The annual Holiday Pops concert with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and conductor Keith Lockhart (and Santa Claus) is Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. for $76 to $96.

The fall season ends Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. with singer Samara Joy. Tickets are $20 to $60. Joy performed last month at the International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, but this will be a special seasonal show, cleverly titled “A Joyful Holiday.” Along for the tour are Samara’s musical relatives, the McLendon Family.
