Left-handed pitcher Matthew Boyd makes positive rehab debut for Double-A Akron
CLEVELAND — Matthew Boyd took a positive step to returning to the major league mound Sunday in a minor league rehab outing for Double-A Akron. The 33-year-old left-hander tossed four innings in a 2-1 win over Richmond at Canal Park, allowing a run on four hits while striking out five without a walk.
