Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is warning Congress that passing a temporary budget bill to keep the government open would have devastating impacts on the Defense Department . The bill would keep the federal government funded for another six months, but cap spending at 2024 levels.

In a letter to members of Congress on Sunday, Sept. 8, Austin said that the stop-gap would cut defense spending by more than $6 billion, compared to the 2025 spending proposal . Austin said that would impact thousands of defense programs and damage recruiting just as the military is starting to recover from the pandemic.

Congress needs to approve a stop-gap spending bill before the end of the budget year on Sept. 30 to avoid a government shutdown.

So call out the bipartisan scumbags in Congress who have had eleven months to prepare a Budget in full. Especially call out the names of the bipartisan members of the three separate Budget Committees!

Our military has ALREADY been devastated by the stupidity of this administration!!! First they removed all Soldiers who refused to take the Covid shot…Soldier which DoD are now begging to come back in! DoD has ALSO put out an ALARACT asking military retirees age 70 and under to come back in and it also says some disabilities wouldn’t stop them from entering service. WHY? Because recruitment is down and so is retention of current Soldiers. As to the reason for this, it’s due to toxic leadership from the top (Biden) down and due to poor training which concentrates on SHARP, EEO, DEI and proper pronoun usage and little to no training on combat tactics and survival. On top of that, Biden instructed DoD to give our stock of military equipment to Ukraine when Congress failed to send them money and then DoD had to go hat in hand to Congress to request an additional $2 billion to replace our equipment. Right now, Military families are advising members NOT to join as are current Soldiers.
