Hundreds of Hezbollah fighters and medics across Lebanon sustained injuries when their communication pagers exploded on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The blasts primarily struck Beirut's southern suburbs, a stronghold of Hezbollah, and other areas throughout Lebanon .

First responders and ambulances rushed to transport the injured to overwhelmed hospitals, which were quickly placed on high alert. Authorities advised the public to avoid using pagers to prevent additional injuries.

Hezbollah sources have labeled the explosions as a major security breach, attributing the incident to a targeted Israeli cyberattack aimed at Hezbollah's communication devices.

The explosions triggered widespread panic, with blasts continuing sporadically for up to half an hour after the initial incidents. Many sustained severe injuries, including critical limb damage.

Hezbollah officials have called this one of the most severe breaches in their ongoing conflict with Israel. While the Israeli Ministry of Defense has yet to comment, Hezbollah has publicly accused Israel of orchestrating the attack.
