Huge Fallout Theory Changes What We Know About the Brotherhood of Steel

The Brotherhood of Steel is Fallout ’s most powerful faction, but that might change in Fallout season 2 given one discovery by an eagle-eyed viewer.

Fallout subreddit user OmegaSpartan256 theorises, “The West Coast Brotherhood "synthesized" and combined with Caesar's Legion,” AKA, one of the dominant factions in New Vegas.

The reasoning for this theory? There are several. Firstly, the Brotherhood of Steel members have names associated with the Legion, like Maximus, Titus, and Thaddeus.

But “the big kicker,” according to OmegaSpartan256, is the flag design, as seen above. Instead of the typical red and white flag we see in the video games upon which Fallout is based, they use a gold and red color scheme - the same scheme as Ceaser’s Legion, as seen below.

“We've never, ever seen the BoS flag and decals painted in yellow and red. Other variations like Blue/White, Gold/Black/Brown, White/Red, and Black/Red sure, but never specifically Yellow (Gold?) and Red.” Below is the video game Brotherhood of Steel flag design for comparison.

This redesigned flag suggests the Brotherhood of Steel are aligned with Caesar's Legion in the Fallout show, and possibly join forces to form an even more powerful dual faction.

If true, they’ll have a heavy presence in Fallout season 2, given the final shot of Fallout ’s last episode show’s we’re heading to New Vegas next.

In response to the theory, one reddit users wrote, “Crackpot theory, but a damned fine crackpot theory!”
